About New Hope

New Hope is a member of the Southern Baptist Convention and our pastor is Cody Turner who was presented with the prestigious "Luke 15" award in 2024.

New Hope Baptist Church located on New Hope Rd in Christiana is a small historic country Baptist congregation in the Big Springs community of Rutherford County, Tennessee. Founded in 1846 the church is active with worship and adult/children bible studies each Sunday. The church is also actively engaged in ministries both local and international.

Our Core Beliefs

New Hope is a local gathering of people in Middle Tennessee who love Jesus, love others, and are committed to share the hope of Jesus in our local community and around the world.

We believe in and surrender our lives to the one true God who made the heavens and earth and who breathed life into humanity. We worship and praise the Father who spoke the world into existence, Jesus, the Son, who died upon the cross to redeem us from sin, and the Holy Spirit who is the seal of our salvation.

The Bible is the inspired Word of God. It is sharp, powerful, effective, challenging, exposing, and encouraging when it is revered, studied, preached, taught, and obeyed because it is from our Creator and therefore relevant for all generations.
