Pastor Cody on Mission Trip to Nicaragua
It is truly a blessing to minister to each family represented at New Hope Baptist Church, to serve this community, and to walk alongside those who faithfully minister to us as well. My heart’s desire is simple and eternal to see one more soul come to Christ and to watch believers grow into the image of Jesus.
We are living in a time of transition. Scripture reminds us that “the love of many will grow cold” Gospel of Matthew 24:12 and that many “will not endure sound doctrine” Second Timothy 4:3. Yet the mission remains the same. We press forward, striving to fight the good fight of faith First Timothy 6:12, laboring together for the Kingdom of God.
From the Heart of Your Pastor
I was born and raised here in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, and have worked with Consolidated Utility District since 2004 To present. Through the years, the Lord has allowed me to build meaningful relationships throughout this community.
In September 2020, I became involved in the Volunteer Chaplain Program with the Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office. It is a true honor to come alongside our law enforcement officers, offering encouragement and support as they serve Our county.
From 2009 to 2019, I had the privilege of serving as Youth Pastor and Associate Pastor at Mount Herman Baptist Church. I was ordained into the ministry in 2010. During the COVID season, our family opened our home for a season of “home church,” where several families gathered weekly. It was a special time of spiritual growth and close fellowship and many of those families continue faithfully serving with us today. Since November 2022, we have been honored to serve here at New Hope.
One of the greatest blessings in my life is my family. Scripture says, “He who finds a wife finds a good thing” Book of Proverbs 18:22, and in 2017 the Lord brought my beautiful wife, Anna, into my life. Together we are proud parents of four children three handsome boys and one precious princess, Daddy’s little girl. To say we are blessed and highly favored is truly an understatement.
It is an honor to serve as your pastor. My prayer is simply to be found faithful loving the Lord, loving His people, and pointing as many as possible to Jesus. Seeing one more soul come to Christ that is what it is all about.
With gratitude,
Pastor
