Do not hold anything so tightly that you’re unwilling to let God take it in His proper season.

Growth in Christ requires release. There are moments when God will ask you to loosen your grip not to harm you, but to move you forward into what He has already prepared.

You cannot live a fruitful, successful life in Christ while constantly looking over your shoulder anxious, worried about what might happen next. Fear will keep you stuck between where you were and where God is calling you to go.

If you feel weak in this area, that’s not failure that’s humanity. Our finite minds were never designed to carry that kind of weight alone. We were meant to be led.

Remember what was said in 2 Corinthians 12:9 when the Lord declared, “My power is made perfect in weakness.” And because of that, Paul responded, “Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.”

So ask yourself honestly:

What are you holding onto with a death grip? What are you afraid to lose?

Be willing to release it.

Because the truth is you never really had control of it to begin with. It was temporary. It always was.

Let God have it… and then watch Him work in ways you never could.

Let's pray Together:
Father, Thank You for reminding us that You are in control—not us. Teach us to trust You with open hands. Where fear tries to grip our hearts, replace it with Your peace. Where we cling to what is temporary, help us surrender to what is eternal. And in that surrender, let us walk in a joy that cannot be shaken. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
